Mac vs. PC

I’ve been quite intrigued with the fierce battle between the two computer wonders. I personally haven’t owned a Mac, but I’m hoping that all of the stuff I’ve been hearing from my friends have been adequate information on what their Macs can do.

Yes, it is summer, I am bored, and I did my research, yay me.

First of all, the most obvious factor that sets the two apart is its price. On average, a Mac is priced 30% higher than its PC counterpart. For one, Macs look awesome. The thing is, would the 30% more bucks you pay for translate to 30% more bang?

After my exhaustive research on the subject, I found out that PCs are for general usage and hardcore gamers (Quite ironic, isn’t it). The mere price makes it an absolute hit for pretty much everyone. Its wide array of games and customizability(If there is such a word) makes it the best choice for hardcore gamers. PCs can do all of your basic tasks, and with a few more bucks for tweaking, you have yourself a gaming desktop.

On the other side of the spectrum, Macs are widely used for media editing and such. This personally does not appeal to me because of the fact that my creativity lacks luster. I like to think that I am creative in different aspects besides videos and photos. ANYWAY, as I was saying, Macs are engineered to do such tasks. If you check the Apple website, one of their major selling points is “Macs don’t get infected by PC viruses”. This is true because all written PC viruses are mere files on Macs. Although Macs don’t get infected by PC viruses, they do get Mac viruses. Since 98% of households have PCs with them, 98%more viruses were made for PCs! With the rising popularity of Mac computers in the recent years, I wouldn’t be crazy if I said that I would be expecting more viruses for Macs.
